Community library designed with daylight as the driving factor.  "Containers" travel volumetrically and sectionally through the building to provide diffuse daylight.  Because of the contemplative nature of the program, subtle qualitative shifts become recognized as various containers become activated by the sun's hemispheric trajectory.  Additionally, visual adaptation is a carefully choreographed circulatory narrative to allow the visitor to perform tasks below recommended illuminance levels (lowering energy needs).  The electric lighting is integrated into the daylight scheme through similar "containers" that are designed sectionally and architectonically.
